The success of your enterprise depends on timely and accurate decision making, adaptability and flexibility and all these depend on the type of business intelligence processing capabilities you have.

During the times when the right kind of information means strategic advantage and power, business intelligence, broadly stated, is the information and data a company gathers from past experiences, present trends and future predictions, and their analysis, using specialized software tools. It helps you align a broad range of strategic, operational, product development and management processes, giving you the much-needed competitive advantage.

September 22nd, 2010 Posted by Marius Lian 0 Comments

Cloud computing is becoming more and more popular because one saves CapEx on hardware, software and services as you pay only for what you consume. Apart from this there are low barriers to entry and increased efficiency as there is immediate and uninterrupted access to a whole range of applications. These shared resources, however, might have some hazards. A common concern is about security

Social Media vs. Email

September 21st, 2010 Posted by Marius Lian 0 Comments

Change is the only constant especially in the fast paced space called the Internet. From snail mail to email was a dramatic transition. People in a hurry today have moved on even from emails. They prefer social media which is instant, open and effective. Skype and MSN have made the continents shrink. The debate about the comparative merits of email and social media however is still on.

Why cloud computing is the future?

September 10th, 2010 Posted by Marius Lian 0 Comments

It is ironic that the computer era started with massive computers.  Then PCs had hard drives that were big in size but small in storage space.  In the 90s and early 2000s the reverse began to happen: the physical size of the hard drives began to shrink and the storage space began to increase. Terabytes of data these days can be stored on a hard disk as small as a pinhead.  Consequently, you can store on your hard disks all the information that you can gather in your lifetime and still have lots of free space. Why ironic?

Concego Dashboard gets praise from McKinsey

September 9th, 2010 Posted by Marius Lian 0 Comments

Praise is welcome and praise from an authority or a specialist is doubly precious. We envisaged and designed a data dashboard for a prominent telecom vendor. For that we streamlined the information from across the world to come up with a state of art dashboard.

What comes as a great source of satisfaction is that when we showed the dashboard to a representative of Mckinsey he said that it was one of the best he had seen. High praise indeed from the prestigious house of Mckinsey and who would know better than Mckinsey!
